The short version: your data stays on your phone. The app has no account system, no server of ours, no analytics, no advertising, and nothing is sold on. We designed it this way on purpose.
Everything you enter or do in the app, your setup answers, completed practices, streaks, evening lines, and settings, is stored only in the app's own storage on your device. It is never transmitted to us or anyone else. We could not read it if we wanted to: there is no server that receives it.
Nothing about you. The app's one network request is a periodic check with Expo's update service for a newer version of the app's own code, the same mechanism most apps use to stay current. That check carries no personal data, no identifiers tied to you, and none of your content. We receive no usage data and none of what you write.
Reminders (such as the daily worry-slot notification) are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push service of ours is involved.
A future version may optionally read heart-rate data from Apple Health or Health Connect to offer gentle activity-aware reminders. If and when this ships: it will be strictly opt-in, readings will be processed on the device only, never uploaded, and this policy will be updated before release. The app does not diagnose, detect, or treat any condition.
Under the GDPR you also have rights to access, rectification, erasure, and portability: the two controls above fulfil these directly, on the spot, without needing to contact us.
The App Store (Apple) and Google Play handle the download and any platform-level data (such as crash statistics they gather themselves) under their own privacy policies. We do not receive personal data from them.
The app is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16.
Never Zero is a wellness practice companion, not a medical device, and is not a substitute for professional care. If you're in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis line, in the EU, call 112.
A future version may offer optional accounts with encrypted backup and sync, always opt-in, never required for the core tools, and end-to-end encrypted so we still could not read your entries. If and when that ships, this policy will be updated here first and the change clearly announced in the app.
